Noticed this morning that Good Old Games have started their summer sale this morning.  A bunch of great games going for 50% off.

But for the real tightarses among you it appears Torchlight will be free (and DRM free) for the next 48 hours: http://www.gog.com/gamecard/torchlight

It's a great little Diablo clone, and well worth picking up, especially for free.

I might pick up Torchlight because it's free. Every time I've bought a game from GOG there's always some problem with the download. Oddly it doesn't seem to happen with free games.

Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics are free over at GOG.com as part of their winter sale.

The "TRINE" pack was on sale yesterday. Could be now - sorry, I'm super lazy today.

But it's so worth it. It's fucking gorgeous.

Banished for 50% off seemed like a good deal. Also picked up Spec Ops: The Line and Pixel Piracy over the last few days.

I believe Rocksmith is on sale, I'd recommend except you would need to still buy the cord which is like $30. Also I believe they're bringing it to iPad and so that might end up being a better deal, but that hasn't been officially announced yet so I don't really know any details.

I've got under US$6 in credit on Steam.

I'm thinking "TOMB RAIDER", but not sure, on Sunday.

What does everyone think?

Tomb Raider is pretty good. It's not a bad way to spend $6. I think that's actually how much I paid for it.

The new Tomb Raider game is great. Definitely worth $6.

Clutch. I'll pull the trigger on Sunday - as long as we have data left.

Fucking New Zealand.

Sorry for being a pain in the ass, but what should I do: "FALLOUT 3", or "TOMB RAIDER"?

Literally any advice will be really appreciated.

Fallout 3 is better, I'm surprised you haven't played it already considering your love for SKyrim.

I was seriously going to just go into Steam and buy something.

Thanks for the feedback. "FALLOUT 3" it is. :D

Dudes, the number of QUALITY games under US$5 is fucking great.

There's no excuse.

"TRINE 2", "HALF LIFE 2" (best engine of all time - fuck you, it's true), "DEUS FUUUUUUUCKING EX", "PAPO AND YO".

"PAPO AND YO". Only game I've ever cried at the end. Literally. Wept. If I were a fucking bastard, I'd explain why.

It's less than US$5 right now. Please buy it. It's really creative, excellently executed, and a really personal story. It's great.

Fucking zero replay value, but it'll be the best five (?) hours of your life.

Please please please buy it.

No one is interested in Call Of Duty except 13 years boys and rednecks.

Don't shoot the messenger. And don't get me started about grown men (redneck, bogan or otherwise) playing a significant amount of video games...

The latest Humble Bundle looks great (courtesy of 2K Games):

Any amount:
Bioshock
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
The Darkness 2

Beat the Average: (around US$7.20 atm)
Bioshock 2
Mafia 2
Spec Ops: The Line

Pay over $20
Bioshock Infinity
XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Some great games there. I'm keen to pull the trigger on the Above Average package mainly to pick up The Darkness 2 and Mafia 2. Pity I brought Spec Ops: The Line in recent Steam sales though.

Saw this today. Now that I no longer have Korea's unlimited data for downloading, I'm not sure how useful this Bundle is going to be to me. :(

Can anyone suggest a rough estimation on the size for each game, on average? Or I could just check on Steam, I guess . . .

I suspect they're mostly around 10GB or less. The real question is do you need to download all of them to play in the next month?

So you know the CPU and ram are not as important when it comes to gaming (compared to graphics card). The i7 really offers literally ZERO performance over the i5 in gaming. Unless you will be doing A LOT of multi threaded CPU intensive tasks (video rendering, 3d modeling, programming, audio editing/creation), then the i7 is useless to you.
