Yes, tracking is just that... recording band members/instruments/vocals on individual tracks so they can be mixed down discretely and then mastered later.  My January 2014 prediction just got all shot to hell.

Tracking is positioning your body to deflect air in such a way that it propels you forward while in freefall. Traditional tracking attire only consists of pants and jackets made especially for this purpose and does not incorporate 'wings' of any kind.

Until I see a headline that states "Tool announce release date as...", I take all these little tidbits with a grain of salt & a mild chuckle.. Don't see the point stressing about something that's outta my control. Salival 2 would be most welcome though. 

I'm more in the camp of as soon as they announce a producer then shit is good to go, 6 months we'll see a new album.

 

Once they bring may may in you can guarantee 6+ months of him and Adam butting heads.

Tool posted plenty of photos from the studio last time around.  When they record this time I doubt it will be some great secret - there will be no doubt that they are recording the next album.

I'm confused as to why you think that's the case?  Are you genuine or are you just dicking around?

I don't think it's a pic of Tool in the studio for that matter either - it's too soon for that I think.  And as I said if they were in the studio I doubt it'd be a secret.

Ok, why?  I had a look at the video you posted and I didn't notice any particular resemblance.

Not trying to suggest your wrong - just wondering what dot's you've connected?  There's nothing I've seen in the image or the text that Adam posted to connect the two (unless it's something subtle I've missed).

Ok, we're getting somewhere now.  Toshi Kasai has recently talked on Facebook about working with Dumb Numbers, and you're allegin that the picture posted is from the sessions recording that album?  Fair enough.  

Not sure that explains why Adam is posting it, or why Justin (presuming that is him) is in the photo.

So if he actually is the producer for the new album, a big gripe of many about 10k Days has already been changed?

Shit, I loved Baressi's work. They don't reAlly choose bad people though so I'm all for someone new. 

Although all this pic indicates is he's helping them demo stuff.
