Yep. Some might go with Bitches Brew over Kind of Blue and I wouldn't argue with em. Both Great albums. But for me Kind of Blue is just a PERFECT album.

Great album with memorable melodies, wonderful textures and inspired solos. The beginning of All Blues when Bill Evans is trinkling those trills is one of my favorite musical moments ever.

Like you said, a toss-up between this and "BITCHES BREW" it terms of favourite.

I think that this is THE jazz album. It's the best representation of the genre, as well as being utterly sublime. I'll take any excuse to listen to this album.

Excellent, excellent, choice. 10/10

Aw, that's cute. Like your puppy avatar. You got a little butt hurt because I called you out on your crazy assertion that drummer chick wasn't actually playing the drums, dincha?

Sad how many so called "members" of the listeners club haven't reviewed this album.

I wish I knew of a bar in my city that played this type of music regularly. In that setting? Easily 10/10.

But in normal, every day life/weekend with a thousand beers to kill? 7/10 at most. Enjoyable but I'm not playing it all that often. Yes a tenth of Miles is still ten times cooler than me, but whatevs.

Unless you live in some backwater there are plenty of Jazz clubs all around, they are pretty upscale though, because they are all old dudes.

Even in Oz, I live in boganville and there is a troupe who play at least once a month minutes from me.

Well that's definitely true. I guess I meant a bar with people around my age.

I think I'd enjoy this if I were sitting down to a nice meal, or out in a bar or something. But as far as listening to it with no other distractions, it's pretty bland. No surprises there - I have no problem with jazz, it's just not the kind of thing I get any real joy out of listening to.
