Starring Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper, The Place Beyond the Pines was already looking promising, but with legendary oddball Mike Patton on OST duties it makes things even more interesting.

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Sorry you don't dig it. Choke Neck - good stuff. All the lyrics are great. Some of it is extra funny (for me).

'Place Beyond the Pines', backside of jacket,
a note from the director:
"It was the early nineties and I was a teenager at the gothic theater in Denver. The band I came to see was Mr. Bungle because my brother had bought me a cassette of their first album for Christmas that year and I couldn't stop playing it in my car. On stage all the members of the band were wearing masks and making music that made me feel like I was in a car crash in a Fellini movie. The singer, Mike Patton, was on stage wearing a bondage mask and horse blinders and I couldn't take my eyes off his performance. During the faithful and powerful rendition of TIME by the Alan Parsons Project, Patton got down on his knees and began serenading the bald security guard. by licking the guy's comb-over. It was at this moment that Mike Patton became my hero and my idol. I used his music very loudly throughout my life to ensure my neighbors would think twice before becoming my friend. I was the guy in the camouflage pants who brought copies of my student films to his shows throughout the years, hoping to get a chance tro give him my work so that someday we could make something together. And then, one day, my dream came true..."
