I got that via email yesterday as well, and my first question was "who the fuck are Skillet"?

Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.
My first question was "are they an American Christian metal band formed in Tennessee in 1996?"
And apparently the answer is a big, fat yes.

The Australian iteration of the Download Festival gets announced tomorrow morning. I'm expecting that Maynard will be represented in some form, most likely APC, but depending on how much Tool have got their shit together, could we see an Australian album launch in March 2019? Unlikely I know, but I may dream about it for another 12 hours...

Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.
It's a very solid classic metal fan type line up. Fortunately there's nothing there to make me wanna fly down which is a good thing.

Cog have announced a series of east coast shows Feb / March. No Adelaide show for yourself H/Boy, but if there's anyone out there in Sydney that missed em last time with a name that rhymes with say.. DYson.. Ya might wanna get on it before they sell out.

That seems to be how they roll these days - do some east coast shows, and then a month or so later do Adelaide and Perth. Adelaide looked more or less sold out this year, so no reason not to expect a another in 2019Busty McCracken wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 9:36 pm Cog have announced a series of east coast shows Feb / March. Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.
Yeh they've generally been tying them in with school holidays since they got back together so its usually next set of holidays they do the following shows. I think this would be the first run they're doing mid term so hopefully means they're starting to ramp things up a bit.
Looking forward to another new song , I really enjoyed the middle

Firstly, amazed they're playing Adelaide.
Secondly, that's a strange venue, usually reserved for festivals.
Thirdly, it seems a little expensive - starting at $99 for GA tickets up the back.
I'm tempted as well, but will wait for the inevitable Lasttix discount a couple of weeks before the show.

I didn't even look at the cost of a ticket yet, lets see . . .
$111 GA, not too bad, plus the BS fees
I've taken that following Monday off for the Superbowl so I have no excuses not to go

Re: Live Shows, Tours, etc.
So woke up this morning and at around 9am:, After 5 weeks of sitting on the fence, finally crack it and decide to buy return flights to Sydney through jetstar to go see Cog.
1 hour later Cog announce a show 4 hours down the road from my place for their first show up this part of the world in 9 years..
2 hours after that I get an email from Jetstar saying mega cheap flights to Sydney for black Friday sale special.
Timings everything in this world. On the plus side I guess I get to see Cog twice now.
